ACPA’s 11305NAT Certificate II in Performing Arts course is designed for students ready to take their first step into the performing arts industry, improve their pathways into tertiary education, or prepare for future employment.
Delivered through 9 units in total consisting of 8 compulsory core units and 1 elective units this foundation course teaches:

- Develop musical skills on an instrument or voice
- Prepare for live performances
- Creative storytelling
- Learn acting techniques such as building a character

11305NAT Certificate II in Performing Arts
This qualification is made up of nine units in total as described in the Course Units section.
Total supervised hours: 335-380 hours
Total unsupervised hours: 280 hours
Total volume of learning may comprise of: 615-660 hours
- participating in community rehearsals and performances
- rehearsing music, songs and dance routines
- researching performing artists, performance styles, background material for performances
- monitoring and recording fitness levels, diet and training program
- liaising with community and elders
- listening to music
Early exit points are not applicable.
A Statement of Attainment will be issued for any unit of competency completed if the full qualification is not completed.
Completion of the Certificate II qualification provides 4 of the 20 credits required for the Queensland Certificate of Education.

There are no essential entry requirements for this course. Learners are recommended to have completed Year 9 and to have language, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to Year 10 High School standard. LLN support is to be made available when required.
