ACPA Staff

Tracy Hart

CEO

Tracy Hart, Chief Executive Officer at the Aboriginal Center for the Performing Arts (ACPA) and is a proud descendant of the Wakaya people from the Rankin River in the Northern Territory. Since appointment of her role in November 2022, Tracy has “Re-Imagined” ACPA by building a training and employment framework which incorporates access to accredited and non-accredited training for participants from the age of 8 years old.

 

Her time at ACPA has been spent re-connecting ACPA with Community, re-forcing ACPA’s Values of Culture, Care and Quality as well as re-positioning ACPA within the Performing Arts Industry by building strong connections throughout the Performing Arts industry stakeholders inclusive of Opera Queensland, Queensland Ballet, Queensland Theatre, Brisbane Festival and Kurul Projects. With over 25 years’ experience in training and employment, Tracy is “Re-Connecting” ACPA with the Arts Industry through meaningful collaboration with community, Industry, and Performing Artists.

Dru Brown

Marketing and Communications

With over a decade of marketing, project management and digital content experience, Dru is also a proud Ngiyampaa man. With a track record that includes working on projects for HBO, The History Channel and the BBC, Dru has also successfully lead local award-winning high quality digital marketing and content, ranging from major campaigns, commercials and feature films.

 

Dru is also an international award-winning feature filmmaker, with his films winning awards at festivals in L.A, Austin, as well as coming in at #5 in The Guardian’s: 10 Best Aussie Films of 2015.

Freya Fraser

Administration Assistant

Graduating high school in 2024, Freya also holds a Certificate II in Performing Arts. She is currently pursuing a Certificate II in Dance, combining her passion for the arts with her strong administrative skills. Known for her enthusiasm, Freya supports the team while continuing to develop her talents both professionally and creatively.

Angus Thorburn

Administration

Angus joins ACPA as their front desk Admin Officer. He is excited to support an organisation all about performing arts in Brisbane.

 

Angus himself comes from a performing background, having studied and trained in acting at Southbank TAFE (in partnership with the University of Canberra), earning a Bachelor of Acting & Performance in 2018. Since then, he has gone on to act and direct in various professional and independent theatre shows in Brisbane. He performed at the old Sue Benner Theatre at Metro Arts, Roma Street Parklands Amphitheater, PIP Theatre and the refurbished Avalon Theatre at UQ.

 

Angus’ main artistic practice lies with the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble (QSE), where he started as an Apprentice and has remained in their Core Ensemble for the last six years.

Aria Clemmet-Kennedy

ACPA Incubator Emerging Artist

Aria Clemmet-Kennedy is a proud Palawa woman from the Trawlwoolway mob in Tasmania and a Melbourne-born singer, songwriter, and performer based in Brisbane. Working across music and performance, Aria uses her art to tell stories, create connection, and engage audiences with honesty and heart.

 

Aria trained at the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA), completing her Certificate IV, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts, and is now a proud ACPA alumna. Since relocating to Brisbane in 2021, she has continued to grow as a versatile artist, working across live music, theatre, and collaborative arts projects.

 

Her performance highlights include BigSound Festival, St Kilda Music Festival, NAIDOC events, Share the Spirit at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, and the iconic Dreamtime at the ’G. Aria is also a participant in Singing Our Futures, the legacy mentorship program of the late Uncle Archie Roach, led by Candice Lorrae. She is known for her powerful vocals, authentic storytelling, and warm, approachable presence.

Radka Kerr

Project Coordinator

Radka joins ACPA as Project Coordinator, bringing over 15 years of experience in the events and hospitality industry, with a focus on sport, culture, and education. She has delivered major projects across UK, Middle East, and Europe, developing a strong reputation for creativity and practical problem-solving.

Radka is motivated by creating engaging experiences, ensuring that every detail contributes to meaningful outcomes for participants, partners, and communities alike. She looks forward to working with the ACPA team to amplify First Nations and all-nations voices in the arts through well-executed, impactful educational projects.
