Applicants must submit an online audition. Please see what to prepare for your audition below.
What does the audition steps look like:

Once your audition has been reviewed by ACPA Head of Department (HOD). A teams meeting will be scheduled for the HODs to discuss your audition and the next step. Eligible students can apply for help with audition travel costs through AbStudy.

What to prepare for your audition:
Prepare a video introducing yourself, sharing any experience in the performing arts genres you are auditioning for, and explaining why you have chosen to audition for ACPA.
Submit videos of the pieces you’ve chosen to showcase in your chosen genre(s). For example, if your audition is across all 3 genres of performing arts:
- DANCE – Choreograph 2 contrasting dance pieces, e.g. ballet and hip-hop
- MUSIC –Present a ballad and an up-tempo (total 2 pieces)
- STAGE & SCREEN – Present a classical and a contemporary monologue (2 pieces)
Each piece should be no more than one (1) minute in length.

- Make sure you introduce yourself.
- Tell us which genre (music, dance, or stage & screen) you wish to study and why you want to study at ACPA.
- Perform your pieces.
